How can you be Stigma Free?

1.  Educate Yourself and Others
Knowing the facts about mental illness can help you educate others and reject stigmatizing stereotypes.

2.  See the Person, Not the Illness
1 in 5 Americans lives with a mental illness.  Each of them has their own story, path, and journey.  Treating them with kindness and empathy means a lot more than just knowing what they’re going through.

3.  Take Action on Mental Health Issues
Our mental health care systems have been in crisis for too long.  This has kept treatment and recovery out of the hands of those who need it most.  We need to push for better legislation and policies.
