Jessica Cartwright – Executive Director

My name is Jessica Cartwright, and I am the Executive Director for NAMI Wichita Falls!

My journey with mental illness is not my own, but my mother’s. She was bi-polar and manic depressant. I lost her to suicide in June 2008. Since then, I have been on a personal mission to help end the stigmas associated with mental illnesses, and raise suicide awareness and prevention.

Outside of NAMI, I am married with four fur-babies (three cats and a dog, Bruce). I also teach piano, and have been involved with American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, Humane Society of Wichita County, Phased In, Backdoor and Wichita Theatres, and currently a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

I cannot tell you all how excited I am to be a part of such an amazing non-profit. I look forward to working with each of you to help further the mission of NAMI Wichita Falls – to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness.
